Heavy or Wholesome Holiday Snacking?

#ShareAwesome Digital Safety

Our small family of 3 has 8 devices that connect to the Internet.  It is so common to hop from one device to the next according to need of screen, function of device or which devise holds the time sucking game du jour.  I would guess we aren't much different from most other families.  We are active and busy and at times totally consumed in the digital world.  My daughter hasn't shown any interest in social media beyond browsing my Facebook feed, but my son has asked about Instagram and Snap Chat.  What guidelines do you set for your children's use of the Internet?  How safe are they online?  Are they making good decisions online?  Check out the contest for prizes including tablets and scholarship money...  Continue Reading...

Active Wear as Work Attire

As a yoga and barre instructor with 6-8 classes per week, I have to get creative disguising active wear as work attire once classes end.  The key is in the accessories:  crocheted boot socks, black riding boots, and a little jewelry.  Thank goodness the latest trend is tights and tall boots!  I can wear my yoga pants to work, to class, back to work, to play and errands in between.  Continue Reading...

Thanksgiving Leftovers in a Jar

The next best thing to Thanksgiving is Thanksgiving leftovers.  What if you travel somewhere else for Thanksgiving and have to leave empty handed?  No leftovers??  Not crazy about sending your Tupperware out the door with your guests?  If you're hosting Thanksgiving dinner this year, grab a few supplies to send your guests home with their own Thanksgiving Dinner in a jar.
