Yoga + Art

This is pretty much my definition of the perfect evening:  an hour of yoga followed by a canvas painting party.  There's my mat all set up first thing this morning to teach Saturday morning yoga and share the art we created the night prior.  My mat seemed to be sparkling more than usual after this morning's practice with left over glitter.  Come take a look at the shiny layers of sparkle...

Cashew Chai

This is my favorite warm Ayurveda breakfast:  stewed fruit with spices and warm chai.  I prefer a dairy-free, soy-free option to mix with my chai and have been using almond milk in place of skim milk for quite some time now.  The stewed fruit is apple, pear, pineapple, cinnamon, ginger & cloves simmered until soft.  The warmth of the fruit and warming spices is very satisfying for breakfast.  I've discovered a new creamy dairy-free, soy-free option...

Holiday Roundup

It's the time of year that I notice a big surge of activity on Worth Pinning and Pinterest.  As you can see from the screen shot of recent pins on Pinterest, the most popular projects pinned from Worth Pinning are the pretzel log cabins:
 ...and the donut snowmen:

For those who are new to Worth Pinning, here is a gallery of holiday posts from desserts to decor.  Thank you for pinning my work and inspiring me to keep creating and sharing.

Bumble Bee Cake or Cupcake Toppers

Speaking of busy little bees...I've been meaning to get back here to post the edible bumble bee cake toppers from the Mommy-to-Bee baby shower cake.  You could also make these bees for easy cupcake toppers.  All you need is a little fondant or gum paste (which you can buy at the store) and some dabs of water...
