Summer Road Trip Ready with Pennzoil®

My favorite travel in the high country is in the summer to get to hiking trails. With rugged dirt roads and sometimes congested Interstate, it's important to be able to rely on my vehicle to get me where I want to go play! Now that my SUV has turned 100k miles, it's even more important to keep an eye on my car care...

I started last summer with an oil change from Walmart using Pennzoil® High Mileage® motor oil and you can bet that's where I returned my car for another summer full of trips to and from trail heads.
When you're a good 45 minutes out on a dry, rutted, dirt road to get to some of the best, most pristine hiking trails, you want to make sure you can drive home again after your body is beat from hours of hiking.
Beautiful wildflowers lined the start of the hike to Eagle Lake last Tuesday.
I drove to my nearest Walmart Auto Care Center and dropped the car off in good hands.
I'm always impressed with the level of service at my Walmart Auto Care Center.
The Tire and Lube manager was very helpful when I called ahead to check on the wait time and as I walked up to the counter to request the Pennzoil® High Mileage Vehicle® oil change.
I left my car in the hands of the experts and they got to work while I did a little shopping for work. We are adding some "glamping" yurts to the property at work and I needed to buy some fishing gear, board games and other personal items.
I added some swimming noodles to the cart to refresh our supply at the pool. I love one-stop shopping! Getting your oil changed with Pennzoil not only helps clean out sludge lesser oils leave behind, it makes my summer road trips a success by saving time and money.
I had to drive down to Denver the other day in the thick of the weekend traffic. This is a typical scene on the Interstate in the Colorado Rockies: pop-up campers, SUVs towing bikes, dirty Subarus (I liked the "Might as well" bumper sticker on the Subaru).
There were at least a dozen vehicles to the side of the road with hoods up and passengers outside on the right shoulder of the road. That traffic was bumper-to-bumper for over 2 hours...adding 1.5 hrs to the drive.
I'm glad my trips to the city are rare in the summer. I prefer to share the road with the local wildlife.
I'm also glad I can count on the service of my car at Walmart to get me out to where I love to go play and back home safe, so I can take in these high alpine views.
Especially when the trail head starts at 11,700ft! Most of the climb to this hike is done in the car!
High mileage is on Rollback ($39.88 on Rollback to $35.88) June 15 - September 28. Find your nearest Walmart Auto Care center by clicking here.
