Date Night Prep

Date Night.  There's a new topic for the blog.  Not as in "here's a great idea for you and your hubby for date night".  More like...I am a single woman with 2 kids needing less and less of my time.  Clearly, I know how to fill my alone time with all of the activities, baking, crafts and projects I share on Worth Pinning.  In fact, the scene below is far less intimidating to me than the dating scene at nearly 40.

See, it cleans up easily within an hour:
The only kind of bar I want to hang out with men is this kind of barre: (I love teaching barre to men)
I made a trip down to Denver/Boulder late last week on some days off from work.  I planned to spend time with my sister, go to my favorite yoga, and meet a new person.  When the right kind of guy presents himself, you go for it...right?  About as soon as I arrived, I could feel the tickle in my throat.  Oh crap.  I was about to come down with something.  After a crummy first night of sleep, I made a quick trip to Walmart for some wellness reinforcements:
There was a nice full endcap of Emergen-C.  I hadn't seen the new Emergen-Zzzzzz.  Perfect...for more healthy days AND more healthy nights. It has melatonin to help soothe you to sleep. Love the peach flavor, too.
Right next to the Emergen-C display, I turned and found the ChapStick for my dry lips.  I know to drink more fluids when I'm not feeling great, but sometimes I do the opposite.  The new ChapStick Total Hydration line is fantastic to help soothe and moisturize dry lips.
The Advil Tablet Vials were right at the checkout. Nothing's stronger, longer lasting or better on your tough aches and pains, than Advil and nothing works on more pains than Advil (among OTC pain relivers). 2 handy Advil Tablet Vials to pop into my clutch. ready.
Afternoon chai turned into evening happy hour.  It could have probably then turned into dinner and later, but the weather was turning and it was time to head out.
The following day was an invitation to have Sunday brunch at this interesting little tea house hand-built and shipped half way around the world to Boulder.  I certainly could have used the beginning of a cold as an excuse to back out, but I didn't want to back out.
My cough had calmed down from a well-rested night of sleep.  Great meal, nice environment, warm conversation.
We walked around town and popped into a few shops before it was time to get back up to the mountains.
3rd date in the near future?  I think so!  Maybe this dating thing isn't so bad, after all.
What are your go-tos to stay healthy and ready for every part of life?
