A Trail for all Seasons - Tubbs Ambassadors

We decided to head up a trail we last hiked in the fall.  I wanted the kids to see if they could recognize certain features of the trail and how it changes from one season to the next.

We started out a little later than anticipated, so we chased the sun going behind a mountain.
As we were looking through the photos from the hike, we noticed the blue glow on the back of my son.  That night, a good friend passed away in his sleep and we'd like to think it was Michael at his back.
Here is the trail carved out in snow...
Here is the same spot the end of September when the trail was lined with multi-colored aspen leaves.
The fort the boys built in the fall was now covered in snow...
 5 months prior...
It works as a snow ball shelter.
The hike up took about an hour.
The run down took about 22 minutes.

  1. Hi there! I saw your valentine's day project on the Bower Power Linky Party. So cute! And I absolutely love this post and these pictures. So jealous, by the way! Anyway, we got a note about a Liebster Award, and I'm passing the nomination on to you. I really enjoyed looking through your site! I really have no idea what this award is all about, but thought I'd play along . . . can't hurt. check it out if you're interested (if not, we won't be offended :)). http://viewfromthefridge.com/2013/02/23/liebster-award/

    Have a good weekend!
