Christmas Sugar Cookies for Santa

It's dumping snow outside right now.  We've been tracking Santa via Norad all day.  It's Christmas Eve and I'm getting ready to leave work for the day!  Santa and his reindeer have already delivered 2.9billion toys!

This is a tough cookie cutter.  I looked at the blank cookie for quite a while before diving in with the red frosting.  Then I filled in an area to be Santa's face.  Now he was looking a little like Red Riding Hood.  Good to know when I need to make a Little Red Riding Hood cookie.

 Then I piped the white and Santa began taking shape.

 The trickiest part of this cookie was the left arm & toy bag.  Wing it.

I took a break with some easy candy cane cookies.  Pipe red frosting and sprinkle with red sanding sugar:
