I don't know what it is, but I'm not crazy about doing a fall mantel. Maybe it's because I like doing the Halloween and Christmas mantels the best. Something has to cover the gap between Halloween and Christmas.
Although I love my
leaf canvas, I wasn't as excited as I thought I'd be with it as the backdrop. I had a few things thrown up there, but then the kids brought home their school photos so I grabbed some spare frames and two patterned yellow scrap book papers.
Such a mom thing to do!
I printed the
banner provided by TomKat Studio and stung it with simple twine.
When I see the words "Give Thanks" and their smiling faces, it is a warm reminder that I have everything I'll ever need.
