Rainy summer hiking

It doesn't matter how many times I see the same landscape, I still get awestruck.
There is nothing I'd rather do on summer day than a 2-4 hour hike...especially with my favorite hikers.
I tried to explain why he might not want to get his feet soaking wet at the start of the hike.  Boys don't seem to care about those sorts of things.
If it weren't for Mom saying "bring it back down", who knows how far or high they'd go.
My kids both have mountain names.  We belong in the mountains.
"Sounds like a bear?"  Here's the only thing growling on the trail...
She was pretty glad she grabbed her rain jacket as we were leaving the car.  My weather forecasting skills (via Weather.com) are weak, at best.  The rain moved in an hour and a half early.
 Time to scurry.
With recent temps nearing 100F, we were okay with a cool rain soaked 55F.
Go play!
