From my "About Me" Page:
Worth Pinning is about doing the things that make you, YOU. I live in the best place imaginable for me- surrounded by trails, trees, birds, wild flowers and my family- and I am most myself when I am creating, designing, and exploring the outdoors.
I have background in interior design, floral design, and massage therapy. I was about 10 when I figured out I was really good at art. I learned how to paint with oils, acrylics and watercolor. I fell in love with printmaking in college and that's when I decided to follow a more creative path than Economics. Economics just made sense to me, but interior design was where I was discovered who I could be is exactly who I have always been. I've worked for an interior design firm, architecture firm, and owned two high end floral shops. Massage therapy school was thrown in the mix for fun.
I am an avid runner, hiker, snowshoer, cyclist, swimmer, and yogi. I figured out early-on that if I wanted to be able to do the things I loved while my kids were little, they would have to come with me. As a result, I have two incredible adventurers. I'd rather be out on a trail than scrubbing my house. My fabulously planned meals get in the way of decorating cookies and baking cakes. My laundry takes a backseat to project or craft. Does it all get done? Hardly ever and eventually.
I work full-time at a private club/development and I'm vague about that part of my life, but my job includes really awesome things like leading hikes/snowshoeing, fitness, yoga, massage, concierge, HR, marketing, events and even the occasional floral design. I'm not sure how I landed in a job perfectly suited for me, but it wasn't without big trials, starting from scratch, and rebuilding a self-worth...which has all led me to a life Worth Pinning.
